
Denise Hagon
Born in Norfolk
1977 - 1980 Studied Calligraphy at
The Norfolk College of Arts and Technology, King's Lynn.
1983 BA Hons in Art
& Design History, Leicester Polytechnic.
1985 established as a professional
calligrapher in Nottingham, with the help
of the Enterprise Allowance Scheme. City Centre studio
producing commercial and exhibition work.
1993 began producing film and
television document props, initially for The Memoirs
of Sherlock Holmes series for Granada Television.
Denise has worked on many period and contemporary
dramas, most recently Bleak House for the BBC.
1998 relocated to a new studio in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Denise has taught calligraphy at two Adult Education
Colleges in Nottinghamshire and is a lay member of The
Society of Scribes and Illuminators.
